Living in Hong Kong for many years, where of course Chinese medicine is viewed as ‘mainstream’ rather than an ‘alternative’, I was able to experience the positive effects of acupuncture on my own health.

I then studied at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading for three and a half years, a training encompassing and integrating two of the most established styles of acupuncture, lifestyle and dietary therapy, and a broad knowledge of anatomy, physiology and Western medicine. I am a fully licensed acupuncturist (LicAc) with a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture and am committed to my own on-going professional development.

In my practice, I combine Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the mainstream style practised in China which concentrates on the symptoms of a patient’s illness and is well suited for treating a wide range of physical, mental and emotional conditions, and Five Element acupuncture, which focuses on treating the underlying constitution of the person, on the person who has the illness rather than the illness itself.
